Our Teachers
Martha Ulloa
Martha teaches in the Caterpillar Room, which serves infants and toddlers ranging in age from 4 months to 2 years old. She will celebrate two years as a team member at Bright Futures in November and has over 23 years of experience working with young children.
Martha is currently pursuing her Teacher Permit and working toward a B.A. in Child Development, with more than 60 completed units. She holds a high school diploma and has also completed A.A. and Master’s coursework.
In her free time, Martha enjoys spending time with family and making crafts such as balloon garlands, paper crafts, and hair bows. Her favorite quote is, “Shine, Dream, Smile” from Magic Shop.
For Martha, the most rewarding part of teaching is witnessing each child’s growth and development, and seeing them master their developmental stages.
Shavonna Archie
Shavonna currently works with infants aged 4 months to 2 years and also has experience working with children aged 2 to 5 years. She has been with Bright Futures for 3.5 years.
A high school graduate, Shavonna has completed 24 units in Child Development and 18 units in Criminal Justice, and is still pursuing both degrees.
Her hobbies include swimming, traveling, doing hair, listening to music, and watching TV and movies. Shavonna is also a proud mother of two boys, ages 19 and 10.
Her favorite quote is: “Never give up on yourself or your dreams. You’re not alone, and God will see you through.”
Shavonna finds the most rewarding part of teaching is knowing that she has done her best to teach every child new things, watching them grow, blossom, and strive to be the best they can be. She is proud to have inspired and helped children from infancy until the age of 5 at Bright Futures.
